version 2.0 of Cosmology@Home's CAMB application is available for testing as of yesterday. New work units for this application were available after 6 PM EST (11 PM UTC) yesterday and all old (i.e. incompatible) work units were expired. The new version implements progress indication and is independent of the wrapper application it needed before.

version 1.06 of the MilkyWay@home client is available for Windows, Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD as of October 7. It should be available for Mac OSX soon. This version works correctly on Windows and supports checkpointing. The project should have work units available soon.

LHC@home officially relaunched in the UK (where it is now based) yesterday. The project will run the SixTrack application until the LHC starts in 2008, and will continue running after the LHC launch to compare simulation data with real data. The project will also begin running the Garfield application (which simulates two- and three-dimensional drift chambers (i.e. gaseous detectors) sometime in the near future, and may eventually run another application "simulating particle collisions for the ATLAS experiment, one of the four major LHC experiments."
